Getting on court should take seconds
TEKKA connects players with courts, coaches and people to play with, and gives clubs the software to run all of it from one place.
Our mission
Racket sports are easy to love and hard to organise. A player wants one place to see what is free tonight, book it, pay, and show up. For a coach it is the week scheduling itself instead of living inside a message thread. Clubs want full courts and their evenings back, without a paper notebook behind the counter or three tools that refuse to talk to each other. That is what we build. Every hour of friction we take out is an hour someone spends playing instead. More people picking up a racket, more often, with less standing in the way.
What we stand for
One place for everyone
Players, coaches and clubs work from the same calendar. Finding a court, booking it, setting a lesson, paying for it. Nobody should have to keep a second system in their head or in a spreadsheet.
Growing the game
A phone call nobody answers. A price you cannot find anywhere on the website. Small things, and each one quietly keeps somebody off the court, usually somebody new. We build for the person who has never played as much as for the Tuesday regular.
Fees clubs can live with
Our platform fee is a small percentage of what a club takes through TEKKA, capped at a fixed amount each month, and the first three months cost nothing. Past a certain volume a busy club stops paying more, which is what the cap is for. Cheap to join means more clubs join, and every club that comes on makes the map better for the players around it.
Where it started
It started with a free Wednesday evening and nowhere to play. Phones that rang out, a club that kept its bookings in a paper diary and had to walk over to check whether the court was taken, and empty courts two streets away the whole time. Tennis, padel, pickleball, squash. All of it still ran on phone calls, long after the rest of our lives had moved to a screen. So we started building.
Who builds TEKKA
Krisztián Szalai
Full-stack engineer, Budapest
I have spent seven years building web and mobile products for other people, across healthcare, logistics, fintech and industrial monitoring, usually as the engineer who owns the whole system rather than one slice of it. I am also an amateur tennis player, on court most weeks and no threat to anyone's ranking. That is where TEKKA came from. As a player I kept landing in the same booking mess, and at the same time I could see how the software behind it should work. The platform, the mobile app and the partner API are all my work, so when a club writes to say something is broken, the person reading the message is the person who can fix it.

Two years of building. Court booking, Open to Play, lessons and coaching, tournaments, club management, and a mobile app for players and coaches.
September 2026
Our first clubs
We start onboarding partner clubs one at a time, sitting with each of them while their courts go online, and changing the product wherever it does not match how a real venue runs its day.
November 2026
Open to everyone
TEKKA opens to the public. Search a city, see what is actually free tonight, book it in a few taps. No phone call.
2027 and beyond
Courts that let you in
We are working towards gate access, lighting and court sensors that talk to TEKKA, so a booking opens the door and switches the lights on, and arriving takes nothing more than turning up.
The vision
Leagues worth playing
Club tournaments already run end to end on TEKKA, brackets and scores included. Amateur leagues and local circuits come next, with fixtures, standings and reminders handled in the background so a club can get through a whole season without anyone giving up their weekends to admin.
Where we're headed
Two things would tell us this worked. A club runs its whole operation on TEKKA by default, from the booking grid to the invoices, with no second system alongside it. And a player who wants to play opens TEKKA first, ahead of a search engine or a group chat. Everything else follows from those two. Schedules, payouts, brackets and member messages on the club side. Courts, partners and coaches on the player side. After that comes the physical side: access, lighting and automation, so a visit needs no keys and no queue at reception. And league play with enough depth to keep people coming back through a whole season. Every feature we ship and every price we set gets judged on one question. Does it put more people on court?
